We currently offer a digital online consultation platform called AskMyGP which we believe further enhances our patient experience and improves accessibility. AskMyGP is available anytime from Monday to Friday. The fastest way to get help is through this digital platform because we can usually respond within the hour, on the same day if you submit your query before 5pm Monday to Friday. Click here to access the service.

As a modern, forward thinking practice, we wish to give flixibility to our patients and provide the most convenient and efficient service possible. Our appointment system is based on the principle that all our patients will receive the right care by the right person at the right time.
All services offered in the practice are by appointment only. We DO NOT offer a walk-in service.
We offer a hybrid ‘Demand-Led Same Day’ GP appointment system: A mixture of online messaging, telephone triage and face to face appointments.
Our receptionists are trained as care navigators . Their role is to ensure that our patients are booked with the right person first time. If you have a minor illness, you will be offered an appointment with an Advanced Care Practitioner. If you have a more complex issue, you will be offered an appointment with a GP. If you feel that you do not need to come into the surgery or if you are unsure whether you need to be seen, you will be offered a telephone triage appointment with a GP. Our reception team have been given training and access to a directory of information about services, in order to help them direct patients to the most appropriate source of help or advice. This may include services in the community as well as within the practice.
We have refined our appointment system following feedback received from patients, staff and clinicians. We have retained our telephone triage system because it ensures we are able to provide rapid access to those patients who need it most. By having a doctor talk to our patients, we are able to provide a service that assesses patients on a clinical priority basis and provide patients with appointment lengths that much more closely match their clinical need. This does not only provide patients a better service individually, it also reduces the stress on doctors and staff and makes it much less likely that clinics will overrun. Our hybrid system also allows patients to specify their clinician of choice, thus ensuring continuity of care.
Since the introduction of same day GP appointment system in 2010, we have seen a significant reduction in patients failing to attend their pre-booked appointments. This frees up access for patients who need our services. If you are unable to keep your appointment, please make every effort to cancel it well in advance so that it may be offered to someone else. Non-attendance and cancellations at short notice without a valid reason deprives other patients of essential medical services.
All nursing, phlebotomy, and anticoagulation appointments are available to be pre-booked via reception up to 3 weeks in advance.
The practice holds mandatory staff training every Tuesday between 13:00 – 14:30.
