What to do when we are closed

Out of Hours Emergencies

When the practice is closed, there is an out of hours’ emergency medical service available at all times. This service is meant for urgent and emergency problems and should not be used to avoid the inconvenience of consulting during the day.  If you need out of hours help, you should telephone 111 which is a free-phone number nationwide. Trained staff located at the call control centre will handle your enquiry.

East Lindsey Extended Access Hub

Tasburgh Lodge Surgery is part of the East Lindsey Extended Access Hub pilot. This is a new service that offers GP appointments outside of core working hours, making it easier for you to get an appointment at a time that suits you, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.

You can now see a GP or other healthcare professional during:

  • Weekday evenings between 6.30pm and 8.00pm
  • Saturday and Sunday.

The service is located at The Woldside Unit in Louth County Hospital, High Holme Road, Louth LN11 0EU.

These appointments are available in advance and if we cannot offer you an appointment at a suitable time at our surgery, we may be able to book you an appointment with the GP extended access service.

The GP who sees you may not be your regular GP, but with your consent he/she will be able to access your medical records and transfer any information back to us. The GP will be able to offer advice and treatment including prescriptions, blood test requests and referrals on to other services.

Please contact a member of the reception team for more details.

Remember the Out of Hours Service is for urgent problems only. Please do not contact the service for a second opinion or for anything which can wait until the next working day.

If you have a minor ailment you could visit your local pharmacy who will be able to provide you with some help or signpost you onto the next available service.
