Patient Participation Group

The Tasburgh Lodge Surgery Patient Participation Group (PPG) was formed in August 2013.  The purpose of the PPG is to promote and support patient participation in primary care. We feel very strongly that patients are allowed to work together with GPs to enhance services, promote health, and improve quality of care.

The role is unpaid and on a voluntary basis. There is no specific duration or contract and the group meets every 3 months throughout the year.

We welcome applications to join the PPG group at any time.  There is no guarantee that making an application would mean that you will join the group as it depends on group numbers and composition at the time.

If you do not have time to attend meetings, we have set up a Virtual Patient Representation Group (VPRG), so that you can join in the decision making process of the practice via email. We would, therefore, like to invite all our patients to be on the VPRG contact list so that we can approach you from time to time, via email, to ask your views on specific questions related to the services that we offer.

If you become interested in applying to join our Patient Representative Group or our Virtual Patient Representation Group, please apply by emailing our managing partner, Jackie Rotherham.

We look forward to your participation!
