Accurx – The simple way to communicate about patient care.
AccuRx Patient Triage is an online tool that enables patients to submit medical or administrative queries directly to their healthcare provider. It uses an online form to collect information about the patient’s condition or question, helping medical professionals to prioritise incoming requests based on urgency. This digital solution enhances communication efficiency and accessibility between patients and healthcare providers.
No need to create an account, simply click on the link above.
Please Note: Whilst AccuRx will be available for submitting health concerns, you may find that we are at Capacity if the number of submissions by patients exceeds the availability of our clinicians. Under these circumstances your health concerns maybe be submitted to a clinician the following working day.
If your health concern is urgent, please consider using the NHS 111 service, or in an emergency dial 999 or attend A&E.
Please be reassured you can still call the surgery on 01526 352466 where one of our Reception team will be able to assist you.
How to use Accurx Patient Triage
FAQs
Accurx is open 24/7 for you to submit a health concerns. Any requests put in over the weekend and outside our surgery opening times, will be picked up the next available working day.
Patient Triage uses quick a simple online form which patients fill in when they wish to contact the surgery. For medical issues it contains 3 questions, which should only take a few minutes to fill in. Whether you visit in person or contact us by phone our patient support team will no longer be directly booking your appointment.
We aim to respond to queries the same day. Some routine queries may take us a few days to get back to you as we will prioritise urgent care.
Our Reception team are always happy to help.
They are able to submit requests for you via Accurx and can text you or call you back to inform you of the outcome of your request and book you in for the necessary appointment.
Please only submit one medical issue per Accurx Patient Triage form, so that you can add sufficient detail for each problem, to allow our GPs to appropriately deal with your request.
NHS England believe that patient triage is the most effective way that NHS can sustain a safe and accessible service for all patients based on clinical need.
This change should make it easier to submit requests to the practice and ensure that requests are seen by the most appropriate member of staff and dealt with in an appropriate timeframe.
The benefits of using patient triage are:
Easy to access
The surgery might be able to help more quickly and easily e.g. with text message advice or prescription, or referring you directly to an appropriate service
Those who need appointments most will be prioritised, rather than those who got through on the phones first
As a trusted software supplier to the NHS, Accurx is serious about data protection.
